GLOBAL BOWSPRING TOUR
with Desi Springer and John Friend
The Bowspring method is shared in global workshops by its originator, Desi Springer throughout the year. Desi is assisted and supported by John Friend in weekend workshops and 5-day trainings in cities throughout the US and Canada, the Caribbean, Europe, UK, and the Far East. Desi teaches Bowspring in both English and Spanish.
Desi Springer and John Friend present Bowspring workshops and courses year-round at Vital in Denver, Colorado and in Bowspring communities worldwide. From Desi and John conducted almost 150 Bowspring seminars in worldwide in the US, Canada, Barbados, Spain, Germany, Denmark, Ireland, Japan, and the UK.
Most international weekend workshops taught by Desi and John will be a 10-hour introductory course for the Bowspring system.
The Bowspring postural sytem will be introduced and presented in its essence to all levels of students. Everyone will learn how to make any movement or common posture like standing, sitting, or walking, fluid and dynamically powerful for optimal functionality and radiant health.
Additionally, a wide variety of dynamic postures—backbends, side spirals, arm-balancings, and inversions—will be taught with Bowspring alignment. Anyone interested in the transformation of their mind-body health is welcome to these 10-hour weekend workshops. Beginner students, as well as yoga teachers, fitness instructors, and bodyworkers are welcomed to experience the profoundly transformative and therapeutic power of the Bowspring.
Students will learn about the 10 universal postural tendencies which unconsciously draw us toward a closed posture throughout our normal day.
The basic elemental forms of the Bowspring system are presented in this introductory course so that any student can begin a Bowspring practice at home after this weekend for ever-expanding mind-body health.
Desi and John will help each student learn the Bowspring considering everyone’s unique alignment and particular limitations. The most basic elemental forms of the practice will be presented along with dynamic postures within the Level 1 Syllabus.
This is a 10-hour introductory course for the Bowspring – a new approach for functional postural alignment for all ages.
5-day Bowspring Intensives
The 5-Day Bowspring Intensives are a deeper dive for those students wanting to make a profound shift in their mind-body health and postural self-awareness in just a week. Each student will get a personalized evaluation on the 10 key areas of their body on the first day by Desi and John so that the shift can be measured over the 5 days. Also, universal states of mind and emotional reactivity will be examined and consciously re-calibrated toward more balance and harmony in this 5-day deep dive. This course is to help each student more effectively integrate the Bowspring alignment and positive mindset as a lifestyle for their every day application.
Every student will get personalized attention on their specific injuries and chronic postural patterns from Desi and John. Although the focus each session of the Intensive will be on the basic Elemental forms for the hands and feet, and the most fundamental movements in walking, kneeling, and crawling, we will also practice a wide variety of katas from the Levels 1 and 2 syllabi.
